Frequently asked questions
Will a PNG always become smaller?
Not necessarily. PNG is lossless, so re-encoding may not reduce its size. Choose JPG or WebP for smaller lossy output if that trade-off is acceptable.
Does compression upload my image?
The image is processed with the browser's canvas APIs; its pixels are not sent to Toolkit Studio for conversion.
